NFA Pass

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-24

1. Service description

NFA Pass generates Apple Wallet (.pkpass) passes containing details you enter from an ATF-approved NFA registration form, and stores a copy of your uploaded document for retrieval through a link on the back of the pass. The pass is for your personal convenience.

2. Not legal advice; not a substitute for originals

NFA Pass does not provide legal advice. The pass we generate is not a substitute for your original ATF-approved Form 1, Form 4, or other registration document. Per 27 CFR 479.101(e), the registrant must retain proof of registration and make it available to ATF officers upon request. You are responsible for retaining the original in a secure location and for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

3. Eligibility and accuracy

You represent that (a) you are the lawful registered owner of the NFA item described, (b) the form you upload is genuine, (c) the details you enter are accurate, and (d) your possession is lawful under federal and your state and local laws. You will not use this service to misrepresent ownership or registration status.

4. Acceptable use

  • No uploads of documents you do not have a legal right to possess.
  • No automated scraping, abuse of rate limits, or attempts to access other users' data.
  • No use to attempt to evade legitimate law-enforcement inquiry.

5. No affiliation

NFA Pass is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the U.S. Department of Justice, Apple Inc., or any government agency.

6. Service availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Hosted documents may be removed after 90 days; you should retain your originals.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to this service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to us in the prior 12 months, or (b) US $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or legal consequences arising from your reliance on the pass.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless for any claim arising from your use of the service or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violation of these terms or for security reasons.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's home jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
